Mission Statement

Knowing God is our foundation, glorifying God is our goal. Through worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism, we seek to know God, and make His name known.

Who We Are

Connect Ministry is the English Ministry of Monterey Park Chinese Baptist Church (MPCBC) in Alhambra, California.

 

We seek to connect to our wonderful Lord Jesus through inspiring worship and the preaching of His Word, the Bible.  We also seek to connect with each other through various Small Groups and Fellowships.

Connect Ministry  is a diverse group of varying ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds.

What We Believe

We believe in Jesus – God’s only Son who died on a cross for our sins, who was raised to life and will one day return to receive those who have believed in Him.

 

We believe in the Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is three in one and each part is integral to faith.

 

We teach the Bible, believing that it is from God, entirely true, and immensely relevant to our present age.

What We Do

We worship in a casual and contemporary way. (WORSHIP)

 

We encourage connection outside of our formal Sunday activities. (FELLOWSHIP)

 

We support outreach to people in our community. (MINISTRY)

 

We support and participate in local and global missions and desire to introduce people to our Lord Jesus in a real and personal way. (EVANGELISM)

 

We study God’s Word, the Bible and seek to grow to become more like Jesus. (DISCIPLESHIP)

What We Care About

We care about your forgiveness and restoration.

 

We desire healing through forgiveness that is offered to us through Jesus, to make us whole and healthy individuals made in God’s image.

 

We care about your kids and youth.

 

At Connect Ministry, we desire to see kids launch their faith and grow into people who love God and one another. To help achieve that goal, we have a variety of kid-focused ministries throughout the year on Sunday morning, Wednesday nights and special events.
