I Am: Appreciated
Good Morning folks!
Let me ask you a personal question: do you ever get the feeling that you are unappreciated or underappreciated? That no one ever notices you, much less chooses you for anything awesome? Well, if you’re a Christian, JESUS notices you and appreciates you. Jesus, being fully God, is omniscient. He not only sees the sinful things you do, but he also sees the things you do that rightly and clearly image HIM within your relationships! This means that God’s faithful people can receive encouragement and thankfulness from Jesus himself, even if they DON’T receive such appreciation from other people. But this important truth carries several critical corollaries when it comes to your identity and how you see yourself. When you know that Jesus appreciates you it enables you, by God’s grace power to turn those dark and sinful areas in your life, into ones that bring glory to him and a blessing to you and others.
